Frequently Asked Questions
How much of the money goes to help bring healthy water to water-deprived areas?
All of it. 100%... all of it goes directly to Living Water International (LWI). The only exception is when a workshop requires supplies, which is noted when the price is given.
How can you afford to give all of the money away?
All of the lead artists are volunteers and the space is donated. We have also received gifts from individuals who believe in the vision of the Storefront. If you would like to contribute to the mission and vision of the Storefront, contact us at
info@thestorefront.cc
or talk to one of the group leaders.
How can I know if all the money given to LWI is getting to those who need it?
In our research, LWI was one of the most effective organizations of its kind with the broadest application. They are in good standing with the BBB. They are members in good standing with the ECFA which requires the strictest of accounting practices. They are also rated by Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator, which helps charitable givers make intelligent decisions by providing in-depth, objective rating and analysis.
Is the donation I give for a workshop or event tax deductible?
Since you receive goods or services for the donation, no, it is not tax deductible. But if you give over and above the suggested donation for a workshop or event, that amount is tax deductible and we can give you a receipt for your records.
Do I have to be a skilled artist to participate in the workshops?
Not usually. The description of the workshop will say if prior experience is necessary.
Who supports and funds the Storefront?
The Storefront is supported by a variety of people who love making art and/or care about our world. Crossroads Christian Church is the primary supporter and has donated the space and utilities. Crossroads has a love for the arts as well as a love for the hurting world around them. Visit
