When was the last time you had to think twice about whether the water you were drinking would make you sick, or even be fatal?
With the leading cause of death in the world being unsafe water, Living Water International (LWI) is trying to bring health and hope to countries without this most basic of needs. According to the World Health Organization, 1.1 billion people lack access to clean water, 2.6 billion people are without basic sanitation, 1 child dies ever 15 seconds due to poor water conditions, and preventable water-related diseases kill nearly 14,000 people daily.
Because of this overwhelming need, the Storefront community is looking to do its own small part in bringing this water crisis to an end. Through a partnership between LWI and the Storefront, 100 percent of the donations from all groups, classes, events and any other donations collected at the Storefront will go directly to LWI to help in their efforts to drill wells, train workers, and educate people.
